Welcome to my new web home, www.mattmurdick.com !

I'm so pleased to have a new domain of my own and a new web design, this fall of 2004, representing the changes that have happened in my life and my musical career over the last year.

Yes,
typically I've been a 'slacker' this year in terms of keeping the website updated, but I'm so pleased to let you all know that at this time, both musically and spiritually, I feel more sound and in tune than I have in many many years. Some thanks must go out to a few folks for this:

First off, as always, my undying love and gratitude to all of my family, from young to old, small to tall. Without my family, I most likely wouldn't be writing this note to the 'surfing' public today. The last half of 2003 was a scary time for me, and without them I shudder to think where I would be now.

Secondly, thank you so much to
all of my friends who have supported me when no one else seemed to see me for who I am. A couple of standouts must be mentioned: Angie, you've been my rock, and your friendship is reason enough to hang around this ol' planet for a long time alone. Dennis and Jenni, you really should be included in the family section of the thanks as that is how I see the two of you. Special thanks to Dennis for all his web assistance as well.

And of course, to all the musicians who I've been honored to have worked for or with since venturing into the Broadway Oyster Bar in April of 1999 with a keyboard. Hudson, Benet, Rich, Big B, Mike, ALL the Johns (and Jons), Tom, Mark, Art, Eric, Jeremy, Marty, Craig, Benny, Sharron, Kim, Irene, Kari, John, Arthur, Boo, Keith, BRIAN, Buffalo, Tony, Adam, Beau, TC, Robinson, Derek, Little Big Horn, Hamilton, Brandt, and everyone else that I may have missed due to time and lack of brain cell constraints. Thank you for believing in my talents enough to hire me, teach me, listen to me, scold me, fire me, play music with me, and everything else you've done to help me grow musically. As we all are in the same boat, it's so amazing to know that everyone of you are such great sailors. Again, it has been an honor and a privilege to spill my musical soul with each of you!

Also thanks so much to the fans of music, who come out week after week, to listen to what we musicians do. Without you, what I do means nothing.

Finally, thanks to my higher power (what ever each of you may wish to call it) that continues to inspire me, and look after me when I forget to look after myself. I'm humbled by the mere fact that I'm here, and also that I get to do what I love to do, and that I get paid for it.

Well I would suppose that covers the thanks. Thanks to you 'surfers' for the indulgence. The site is now revamped with a new look, new news, new pics, and a new attitude. Feel free to look around and stop back by often!
